AFM-Telethon-Telethon-TV-program: Since 1987, the Telethon is a TV marathon lasting around thirty hours and broadcast on the France Télévisions TV channels.

The 2021 Telethon ended with donations totaling 73 622 019 euros. An amount reflecting the generosity of the general public, the energy felt during thousands of Telethon events throughout France and abroad, and the strength of families’ fight and researchers’ determination. This unique combination is the cause for a true revolution in medicine that saves lives and opens up new prospects for treatment.

All the victories shown this week-end are not a miracle; it is not magic. They are the result of 35 years of fight, of a vision and of the strategy of our association of patients and their parents. These successes are born of our families’ tenacity, our donors’ generosity and our researchers’ excellence. With donations exceeding 73 million, our fight can continue” said Laurence Tiennot-Herment, President of AFM-Telethon.

The AFM-Telethon warmly thanks Soprano for his energy and generosity. He was an outstanding patron, and close to the families.

Many thanks to France Televisions as well, to its teams and the entire group’s hosts for their sustained commitment during these two days.

The France Televisions group, historic partner of AFM-Telethon, is happy and proud to have supported AFM-Telethon’s teams, volunteers and families for this 35th edition of the Telethon.

From the Lendit Studio in Saint-Denis and especially from across France with the comeback of Telethon events in the heart of territories, France Televisions largely contributed to the French public’s reunion with the Telethon by mobilizing its teams (all the hosts and journalists, all its employees and its subsidiaries, France tv Studio and France tv Publicité). These two exceptional days with 30 hours of TV broadcast, unprecedented coverage on the France.tv platform and social media have enabled a crucial fundraising for medical research. France Televisions also warmly thanks Soprano, the patron of this 2021 Telethon, for his generosity, his engagement and his enthusiasm from Paris to Marseille!

The Telethon continues. You can donate here!
